Solar Power Gadgets

go.tagjag.com – twitter.com – Aside from communicating with the opposite sex, what is a Geek’s greatest fear? I’d have to say it would be the fear of losing power! We are always worried about our batteries dying just when we need them most! Due to this, I spent a bit of my own money to buy a Solio Universal Solar Hybrid Charger. That’s right… it can charge from the Sun!! It also has a proprietary cable (ARGH!) that you can use, as well, in case you happen to live where the Sun never shines …

Hay! Mr Gadget when are you going to fit solar panels to your house and where’s your EV car?
What is wrong with a standard USB cable?
You Chris, more jazz hands for 2010 dood!!!
This is cool.. Something different for charning your devices. Reminds me of the Powermat tv commercial.
If I was on the go, I would carry one of these! Nice demo and review Chris!
nice advertisment? making alot of money of youtube!
..And you watch his videos why?
HAHA i dont know what the hell they were smoking
i hate how he always says his email and everything after every video
shouldnt it work off of most indoor lighting systems too? :s
cool
definetly the most annoying guy on youtube
I meant no offence. It’s just that I used to (unfortuantely) work there with a group of Best buy Geek Squads guys who would get excited about a new cable etc.
Happy New Year to everyone
is it really red… it looks brownish orange?
Man
PRoducts Products Products.
Which one should i buy?
Cable splicing ;3
Looks nice. $25 sounds more reasonable. Also not a big fan of the proprietary usb cable. Just like locking phones, way to go on polluting our planet in the name of capitalist competition.
Great video. You do a great job of informing me of all the nice gadgets out there and presenting them as well.
@onlywhenprovoked: then do it and shut the hell up.
@igonnagetfsx
Chop off the end from a cable with the correct connector and splice it with the cable from the device. You will need to make sure you have all the wires correctly matched up before you begin soldering.
Items Needed:
* Soldering Iron + Solder
* Digital Multimeter
* Electrical Tape / and or Hot glue gun
* Heat shrink tubing
Depending on who small or large the wires are can make it easy or difficult. Either way good luck and have fun.
I like how compTv did a “review” of this, and gave so little information on it compared to Chris lmao
make one? how can you make the conector that goes to the iPhone?
I wonder if I could charge my e cigarettes with that
so u got to leave your expensive gadgets in front of the window
@BeachBoysGuy1 no he does not
The go.tagjag link doesn’t go to the same one as you have.
