This is hilarious. It takes you ages to pop one balloon. A 50 mW laser can pop a balloon near instantly. They gave you a bad unit.

Fr, Robert go to ebay search for laser diodes, they have a 1000mW 808nm diode available for $80 bucks the construction is simple but a little time consuming. for continuous use it will have to be heatsinked, or you could burn the diode, also you will need a good culminating lens assy also avail able on ebay….Search for low prices. Some items you can buy out rite with out bidding.

If you know where to go you can build a class IV semiconductor laser for about 100 bucks and it will produce 1000mW or one watt of optical power…..

Dude, Wicked Lasers is WAYYY over priced and they have sent out MANY under-powered units. Go with Novalasers, Optotronics, or LaserGlow for higher quality lasers while paying half the price of Wicked’s. Their forum sucks too, it is communist and if you say ONE thing that is against WL, they ban you so they can brainwash their members.
Moral of story: Do NOT buy from the scam of WL!

I bought a CORE just for practicing before I got a powerfull laser from wickedlasers and I was amazed how the CORE was able to produce a beam at night. It is only 5 mW of power! Imagine a 100mW!
