    Plumber’s putty – comes in a ’small little’ can? And when fitted, the faucet was as rigid as a week-old lettuce. Classic! :-) ))

    I didn’t have any idea how to apply the plumbers putty. I would’ve probably just smeared it all over the bottom of the gasket. Thanks for demonstrating something my instructions failed to explain.
