I agree that quality is more important than innovation. But I think that manufacturers do well when consumers need to keep getting phones cuz it lubricates their sales, so I don’t think its gonna change.
i have an LG Voyager and it broke on me already. I got a new Voyager and the screen shattered in 2 weeks and i havent dropped it
My nokia 3310 still works after like 8 years haha. I hope my other phones will last atleast as long as the contract, so i can sell it afterwards.
i feel ya..i had my razor for 2 years
What the hell do you guys do with your stuf? I have never had any electronics break on me.. I am very careful, but then again.. You have to be a damn idiot to break them not careful to keep them alive.
it’s true i just bout a touch pro 2 that costs more then my laptop and it crash d in just two days!
i have gone through so many phones through verizon…fuckk
ALL consumer products are made to brake quickly. It’s called Planned Obsolescence
It’s the idea that you can make something last for a short period of time, purposefully, so when it breaks you’ll have to buy another/new one.
It’s like this with anything you buy that isn’t customized pretty much. Unless it’s super expensive
anyone know if the instinct lasts a long time just got it today
My Motorola i530 has lasted well over 5 years and still works. I just upgraded to the motorola i576 because it`s smaller with a color screen. I have been with most cell phone companies and im sticking with Nextel.
I started my cell phone experience with the freebie LG CU110 flip phone. Basic features, mainly to get used to the whole “responsibility of having one” kind of thing. Well, the first week of february my fathers contract ran up. I saw the Vu, and it looked really great. So, we spent the money for it. I loved that thing. And considering it was nice and flashy, I treated it like an egg. And a week ago, the screen internally shattered. My contract just ended though. Samsung Eternity Better Last.
ie had my Motorola razr for 2 years now and it hasnt broke. BUT I DEFINATELY WANT A NEW PHONE NOW!!!!!!!
i went throuth 26 mother fucking phones hell yeah good thing i have insurance the phones that they give you for free when you buy a contract suck they will break no doubt 26 times my phone broke i got a good phone that cost me some money recently but i wont have to keeep going back to the store if your wondering this all takes place in a year and a half lol
sure no maybe you bang them on your bald head so yeah…. they might break u bonehead
I take excellent care of my things, I’ve never HAD trouble with phones not working, computers not working. But I have to replace two things constantly. My Xbox 360, and my DSL Router. Only things I ever have trouble with, lol. BTW, “Sunnydips”, No.
I went through SIX LG Chocolate 2’s (the slider with the scroll wheel). Loved the phone, it just wasn’t built to last
my laptop im useing is from 2005 it never broke
4 YEARs so far
i had 6 env2’s break injust about 2 months
true dat bro:D
BTW, with all the different phones that you come across, i dont see how you wold use the same one for such a long time anyway, knowing that that there is so much better out there. And why an iPhone at that? to me it sucks, since it can’t do the simple thing, most phones can.
it all makes perfect sense. I have been watching your two videos on the phonedog youtube subscription, about the Behold and the Memoir. I’m not sure if it’s because of this video, but I am going to go wiht the Behold. The Thing is If they came out with a phone that would be more durable most ppl would get it but not want it after a year or so. I buy a new phone every 2-3 months and i dont think that getting the Memoir is a good idea when i won’t be using it by the summer.
I want to have a phone that last with good features and a lap top that doesn’t break all the time because if it does then all my documents and stuff are all gone and im basically screwed and i dont have to back up my doucments all the time. I would know it is safe to use and my stuff is safe
if it would last for 5 years? oh heck yea, I would definitely buy a phone that is known to last. The only reason I want to upgrade mine right now is because I want Wi-fi and that hotspot thing that T-mobile has for your home.
I had my Krazer for like 2 or so years now and it’s still kicking. But I still want that Wi-fi, yet the otherside of things makes it so I don’t go out and buy another phone just for an upgrade. This phone is actually a good quality durable phone, i am really pleased
Hahaha no
Man, I totally agree but its alright because 2012 is coming to wash it all away.
