Yes Sir. They Sell three scraping blades for like $5.99 a grout removing blade for $5.99 and a half moon wood cutting Blade. They are pretty sharp, I cut my thumb as I screwed in the hex screw.
I usually prefer Milliuake, Rigid,or Hitachi on all Power tools I use on a regular basis for remodeling. But on some things I use maybe once a month, like an Electric Hand Planer, I just Buy it at Harbor Freight .

Do they also sell replacement blades?+++Bob

Hey Bob, I Just bought the Chicago brand at Harbor Freight for only $39 bucks and it works great !

It didn’t come with a case so I just bought one there also for $5 bucks more. Thanks for Showing me this Tool Neighbor.

Yep I got the Fein model as well and I’d say it’s DEFINITELY worth the extra coin! Superior construction, very smooth and powerful motor, and a minimal about of vibration transfered back to the operator. I used it to undercut 11 doors for laminate flooring and it took under a half hour. I’ve also used it to cut botched crown molding in place and got a stain grade cut. Found it didn’t work so good on azek though, the cut melted shut again until I modified a used blade to have coarser teeth

As usual, your videos are awesome. Thanks Bob. I was very skeptical about these when they came out and now am thinking of buying one later.

I just used this tool to cut vinyl siding. The cuts were perfect and fast. Besides being extremely loud, this tool is the best business investment I have ever made.

I did consider the Fein as one of my options to buy and I am sure it is more versatile than my dremmel but as I said I pick the one that suited me best Thanks for the post+++Bob

Thanks for the demo of the Dremel, and without being rude, it made me glad that I bought the Fein, just by hearing the motor.
It is totally up to what you can afford, and I saved for a bit to do it, but I’m glad I got what I paid for.
Thanks Bob, still a 5 star video.

I am using the same tool on the remodel of our kitchen. It is all that is promised with one caution.

I found that the nut is wearing down from sitting on tile and concrete when used as a base trimmer. I haven’t ordered a spare because I’m not using the tool on a daily basis as would a professional.

Your advise is valuable. Thank you.

A great tool. But the Dremel, is a bit weak for hardwoods. I use a Fein, but it was 3X the cost. I did find a place that will sharpen the blades for $7 each!!!

I tried to cut my grass with this tool.. but it was more of a gym work out.. but I guess that is what happens when you don’t hear the whole video and stop the vid at the end of cut your grass, going out to buy the tool :( still learning, still learning!

    Thanks!

  19. HomeRemodelWorkshop on October 30th, 2009 9:24 am

It was about one third of the cost and the replacement blades are much less expensive. That being said the fein tool is more heavy duty and may be more productive if you used it daily and more exclusively than I do mine+++Bob

The cut was not straight. On paint grade this is ok. On stain and varnish then this is not acceptable. Do you like the dremel tool over the fein tool?

  21. OCCNYAC22 on October 30th, 2009 9:24 am

    That’s like the Fein Multimaster.

  22. BBQkrewe on October 30th, 2009 9:24 am
